Very gratifying to complete this project of equipping the Chemiluminescence Immunoassay lab for All Inia Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar, Hyderabad at a cost of about $80,000 from the AAPI Covid Relief efforts. This machine has a throughput of 200 tests/hour and AIIMS can cater to about 30 nearby primary health care centers also. This will make joint of care testing like covid antibody tests, Ferritin, D Dimer, CRP apart from routine tests easy. This is the first of the series of 5 AIIMS in India AAPI has chosen for this type of project.
AIIMS is a premier medical institutes in India which gives special emphasis on medical research. AIIMS, Bibinagar is the youngest of all the AIIMS in the country.
Chief Guest for this event was AAPI president Dr Anupama Gotimukula, AIIMS Director Dr Vikas Bhatia. In attendance was Dr Sateesh Kathula, AAPI Secretary and Dr Aparna Varma, Associate Professor, AIIMS who coordinated the whole project.
